Description: | Here are the details.
167,000 original miles although the speedometer says 217,000. Gauge assembly was pulled from a 87 Wagoneer and the Wag had more miles than the truck. Speedo does bounce over 60 mph.
20,000 miles on rebuilt AMC 360 motor. All ford ignition has been removed and a Davis Unified GM ignition has been installed. Edelbrock Performer manifold and 600cfm carb. Everything else is stock. If you live in an area like I do that requires a smog check it always passes.
32,000 miles on rebuilt GM Turbo 400 transmission with shift kit. An external trans cooler and deep sump pan with drain plug have been added.
Borg Warner 1339 transfer case with factory low range reduction kit, which I think gives it a 2.72 to 1 ratio. Part time kit was added with a 17% overdrive. This was gone thru 41,000 miles ago with a new chain, bearings, and seals even though it did not need it. Gears were in new condition. 4 wheel drive works perfectly.
Dana Spicer 60 rear end with full floating axles, bearings, seals, and brake shoes were replaced last year but I did not install new drums. Dana 44 front end with Warn hubs and disk brakes. Right front hub and bearings were replaced 10,000 miles ago, left side ok.
Fairly new 265/75r16 BFG AT tires on 16in 8 lug black rims. 3in Rancho lift kit with blocks in the back and shocks. Full size spare that I mounted under the bed with angle iron.
Truck has the original 18 gallon gas tank and also a 35 gallon tank that has been installed in the bed. This is set up on a manual lever under the seat.
Seat was re-upholstered last yr and has a saddle blanket cover over that.
There is one spot in the very rear quarter panel on the bed, on both sides, that have rust. Its not to bad, about 3in long and a 1/4in high, and could easily be repaired. Inside of bed has been painted with a Rhino type lining, I did this about 10 yrs ago. I also shot the bottom of the truck with a flexible undercoating.
This is a running truck and I would not hesitate to drive it across the country. Just needs exterior paint, unless of course you want to flip the rear shackles and go spring over on the front axle picking up another 5in of lift. That would turn this truck into one serious rock climber.
If you want to see more pictures let me know and I would be happy to email them to you.
