Description: | 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Has only 98,000 miles on the 360 V8. Includes front and rear Dana 44 axles (narrow-track) The transmission is a three-speed automatic Chrysler 727 torqueflite and is cosidered to be a heavy duty transmission. The transfer case is a New Process 229 Selec-Trac. The exterior has fading paint since it was at one time a FL Jeep, but it would be fine to use as a trail rig. The interior has been striped of the carpet and ceiling lining. When this was done the interior light was removed and in turn the connection to raise and lower the rear window was cut. This is an easy fix with the wiring charts and just reconnecting the two ends. The sunroof does leak, but is sealed at the moment temporarily. All the power locks and windows work (except rear window). The engine runs well. The only problem is that it will die when the accelerator is let off. I have the part to fix this, but my tools will not allow me to get to it. There is NO TAG OR TITLE. I bought this as a trail rig to work on, but I never had the time to work on it. The engine is strong with low miles for the vintage, the drive train is excellent, the frame is in excellent shape for the vintage, the interior is a little rough along with the exterior, but is fine for a trail buildup. This will be a local pick-up only since there is no tag or title and I do not own a trailer big enough to haul it. |
