I FINALE HAVE IT LISTED, THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL WHO HAVE BEEN WAITING.
I am selling a ALL NUMBERS MATCHING 1943 Ford GPW. The vehicle serial number on the orig data plate is 142157, w/ a date of manufacture of 9/43. The frame has the the same SN #142157. The engine has the cast GPW 6015 and a stamped SN GPW 45435 on the engine boss.
This GPW just scored a 90 out of 100 for its accuracy and originality. This GPW has the famous F stamp on everything making it very sought after. This GPW comes w/ everything seen in the photos including the 1943 dated radio (w/guts),the PE117 and the orig restored FT 250 radio mount. This GPW even still has all its orig combat rims (rare to have all 5)and orig Ford Safety Glass windshield (Very, Very rare). Their will also be a group of extra NOS and original parts that can be detailed in photos if requested. The M-1 Garand is for display ONLY and will not be included in this sale.
I am unable to deliver, but you arrange to pick up or use a transport company. I will do my best to work w/ you or the transport company. Arrangements for transportation are the full responsibility of the buyer. If you wish to inspect the vehicle you are more then welcome to and I even encourage it. I just ask that you give me several days notice so I can make arrangements if need be.
This GPW is such a great and fun thing to drive its just ridiculous. The steering and brakes are in tip top shape. Basically the only thing that is not right w/ this GPW is when you shift gears from 3rd to 2nd it sometimes slips out of gear if and only if you let off the gas pedal to fast and even then it only does it once and a long while. Ive been waiting for something else to not be right so I could do everything all at once but nothing else is wrong or a concern so I am selling it. The reason for this slippage is probably a worn linkage(about a $5-10 part) the only issue is you have to pull the transmission to replace so that is the reason I have been waiting since it is not a big deal.
This GPW has its orig frame, body, windshield, motor, and most other parts. The body is VG overall w/ NO RUST! All panels are orig and the CANVAS TOP is BEACHWOOD and is about 4.5 years old. This GPW is garage kept 24/7 in a climate controlled area. The engine is in tip top condition and still has its orig CARTER CARB, an orig generator and voltage regulator. The system is still the orig 6 volt system w/ a new 6 volt battery. I keep the battery on a trickle charge when ever its going to sit for a while. The vehicle stars right up w/ a good prime once you learn where to put your choke and throttle. This GPW also comes w/ it orig hand crank should you have a massive electrical failure. you just stick the crank into the engine and give it a good turn and it starts right up, (pretty cool to go old school like that from time to time) you can use the hand crank when ever you want, it helps to save wear and tear on the starting system.
I am including one Beachwood Canvas complete TM series on the GPW and All American Wonders V1 & V2. Everything else you see in the photos is authentic and period and comes w/ the sale of this GPW. The dates range from 1928-1944. The army issued many pre WWII items during the early days of the war. The only two repo items are the 1 mussette bag on the driver side and 1 H2O container on the Jerry can. These repos are exact copies of the real thing.
AGAIN, THE M-1 GARAND DOES NOT COME INCLUDED IN THIS SALE!!!!!

Once you commit to buy I will need a $100.00 non-refundable deposit via certified back check w/in 3 days. Once received and cleared I will then execute a sales agreement w/ you for the agreed upon price (minus the $100)and will mail the agreement to you via registered mail. I will only except a certified bank check for payment and that check must clear my account and stay cleared for 5 business days. Once funds clear and stay clear I will send you the title via registered mail and the GPW will then be yours legally. You can make arrangements for transportation at your expense and i will assist the company or facilitate you w/ the pick up. Again, please feel free to ask and and all questions. P.S. please remember, this Ford is a all numbers matching vehicle, making it much more sought after buy military vehicle collection purists. If you dont care about the numbers matching then this may not be the vehicle for you.
