Description: | Believe it or not, my wife is begging me not to part with this beauty, but I must let her go…the jeep, not my wife. I have too many projects going on and feel that she needs to be finished by someone with more time.
I started this project six years ago. The frame has been stripped and powder coated. I installed a shackle reversal system and a H.D. hitch receiver before coating (see picture). The axles are out of a ’85 CJ. They have been completely disassembled, powder coated, and professionally rebuilt with all new parts including new axle shaft assemblies and SS diff covers. It has a 2 ½ “ lift kit that has also been powder coated, Procomp shocks and urethane bushings all around. I have a 401 engine that I started building to go in it. I also have a 360 short block that goes with the project. I had custom Ross forged pistons made with 9.5:1 compression. The heads have been modified for roller rockers. I have several new parts for the motor (HD fuel pump, water pump, Edelbrock airgap intake, “bombproof” motor mounts, stainless hardware kit to put it all together). I built a custom exhaust for it. It has hooker headers that have been modified for V-band clamp mounting and a O2 sensor bung installed for proper tuning, then they were ceramic coated. The rest of the exhaust is custom built SS that runs along the outside of the frame and exits in front of the rear tires (see picture). I have a T-177 gearbox out of the ’85 cj and a turbo 400 transmission for an AMC. The transfer case is Dana 30. It has been disassembled and powder coated and just needs to be reassembled. It has the factory 20 gallon plastic tank (new sending unit and hardware included) with a custom built aluminum mounting frame. I have all new SS brake and fuel lines from Inline Tube. The original tube is fairly rusty. I was going to get a new one (steel, glass or aluminum). I have a hood, fenders, grill, w/s frame all in very good shape. I have a set of full steel doors that are a bit worn but can be rebuilt. I was going to use the interior out of the ’85 since it was in good shape. I have a new set of 33 x 12.5 Wild Country tires. The rims are the factory rims that came on the ’85. I probably forgot to mention some parts or work that I have done over these past six years but this should give you a good idea of the level of project you are buying. The saved receipts added up are over $12,000. Again, I don’t want to part with her, but I need space in the garage for other projects. I think $8000.00 is a more than fair asking price since you are purchasing a solid, pristine restoration project started by a professional. Let me know if you need more pictures. Thanks.
